Purpose / A true practice workshop

Intensive Physics practice, not a second regular course

A workshop is most useful after students have encountered a concept and need to make their understanding work under examination conditions. It concentrates on attempts, observed mistakes, immediate correction and reattempts rather than duplicating months of first-time syllabus teaching.

01

Timed problem drills

Practise selecting the right method quickly, writing intermediate steps and checking whether a result is physically sensible.

02

Immediate copy correction

Review calculations, diagrams, derivations and reasoning while the mistake is fresh. Record what must be changed.

03

Oral cross-examination

Explain why a law applies, what assumptions were used and how the solution changes if a condition changes.

04

Concept-Based Tests

Use oral and written CBTs in the agreed workshop plan to identify which concepts need immediate rework.

05

Mock-paper analysis

Practise under timed conditions and classify missed questions by understanding, reading, calculation or time pressure.

06

Error-notebook revision

Maintain a concise personal record of repeated mistakes, then reattempt related questions before moving forward.

Original teaching example

Inside the Physics Error Lab

Consider a short numerical from Class 11 kinematics. The lesson is not just arriving at the right number; it is recognising an incorrect method, justifying the correction and transferring the concept to a new question.

✓Read the conditions: Is acceleration constant? Which direction is positive?
✓Select the model: Distinguish displacement from final velocity.
✓Check units: A displacement must be expressed in metres.
✓Reattempt: Solve a variation without looking at the corrected example.

This worked example is illustrative educational content, not a prediction of an examination question or a fixed workshop syllabus.

Sample / Kinematics

Spot and correct the reasoning error

A body moves with initial speed 5 m/s and constant acceleration 2 m/s² for 4 s. Find its displacement.

s = ut + ½at²
Common mistake: Using v = u + at and reporting 13 m as displacement. The calculation gives final velocity, 13 m/s, not displacement.
Correct solution: s = (5 × 4) + ½(2)(4²) = 20 + 16 = 36 m. Then ask: what if the acceleration acts opposite to the motion?

Workshop lesson: inspect the quantity asked, verify dimensions, and explain the physical meaning of the result.

Method / Feedback into action

What happens in an intensive Physics workshop?

The exact timetable varies, but a structured workshop can follow five clear stages that bring a student’s written work into the centre of the lesson.

1Diagnostic

Bring a recent test, mistakes and the chapters causing trouble.

2Timed attempt

Solve a selected problem set independently against a time limit.

3Live checking

Identify wrong assumptions, missing steps and calculation errors.

4CBT & probing

Answer conceptual follow-up questions that test actual understanding.

5Reattempt

Repeat a similar problem and update the personal error notebook.

Teacher-reviewed practice

The value lies in being able to show an actual attempted solution. For board students, written presentation matters; for entrance exams, the quality and speed of the reasoning also matter.

Bring your rough notebook, marked questions, formula notes and previous tests when applicable.

Progress that can be discussed

Track which errors recur, whether reattempts improve and which chapters need a different explanation. The follow-up plan may include written CBTs, home practice and additional doubt sessions.

Test frequency and individual feedback arrangements are finalised with the workshop plan.

Physics Workshop vs Crash Course vs Regular Coaching

These services should not be confused. Choose based on whether the priority is learning a chapter for the first time, repairing a backlog or improving exam execution.

Workshop questions answered

Physics Workshop — Frequently Asked Questions

What is a Physics workshop?

It is an intensive, teacher-guided practice format where students attempt problems, receive corrections, discuss their reasoning, work through timed tasks and revisit repeated mistakes. It is different from a standard course that first teaches the entire syllabus.

Can I join a Physics workshop for JEE, NEET or a board examination?

You can request a Physics-only workshop aligned with JEE Main, JEE Advanced, NEET or CBSE/ISC Class 11–12. Question selection, timing and availability are confirmed once the teacher reviews your goal and current preparation.

Are daily Concept-Based Tests included?

ANNexedu’s practice-based methodology uses oral and written CBTs. The frequency, format and any mock-test components are specified in the workshop schedule agreed for your programme.

Is a workshop the same as a Physics crash course?

No. Workshops concentrate on intensive attempts, answer review, error correction and exam technique. A crash course is more appropriate when a student needs substantial accelerated concept coverage or syllabus backlog recovery. See the comparison section above.

Can I attend online from outside Kolkata?

Yes, online workshop enquiries are welcome from other Indian cities and overseas. Share your time zone. Offline workshop arrangements are for Kolkata, subject to a confirmed venue and timetable.

Do you offer personal sessions or groups of 10 students?

Students may request private 1-on-1 workshops or the small-group format with a maximum of 10 students. Actual availability is confirmed before admission.

What are the workshop fees and dates for 2027, 2028 and 2029?

This page does not publish an unconfirmed price or fixed date. Submit an enquiry with your class, examination, target year and preferred format to receive the current options, schedule and applicable fees.

How should I prepare for the first workshop session?

Keep your latest test paper, solved and unsolved questions, notebook, formula sheet and a short list of difficult chapters ready. Your previous written attempts help the teacher identify the most useful practice starting point.
